It's been a long while since I had time to draw anything new!!  Super busy with photography stuff... I have an actual show at an actual gallery coming up in April!  So my poor animal doodles are somewhat on the backburner while I scramble to get that ready.  But here is an illustration for a limerick by one of my favorites, Edward Lear:

There was a young person whose history
was always considered a mystery.
She sate in a ditch
although no one knew which,
and composed a small treatise on history.

rock on, little animal doodles.  spring is in the air!

Happy Valentine's Day!

My boyfriend sent me the following photo of his soon-to-be breakfast "egg face" one morning while I was at work.  Those yolky eyeballs just had so much character!

This drawing is how I won over my boyfriend when we were still courting.. a portrait of him as a pitbull.  I might be continuing the series for all my friends and their doggie counterparts (I was about to write "canine counterparts", but that is kindof too gaggish of an alliteration), so watch out!

A family portrait of my brother and I.. I hope my mom appreciates early Mother's Day gifts.

I changed the title image today.. the boy is now more realistic.  Personally I thought the chubby weird kid from before was kindof cute, but about 5 actual professional published illustrators liked this one better, so looks like I have to work on my taste!

Thoughts?

I knooow Christmas is over and the holiday spirit has withered and died in everyone... but I had to wait to post this so it'd be fresh and unseen when I sent it on all my Christmas cards!

Happy New Year!!
